Limbs of a Squid

According to Wikipedia, a squid has eight arms and two tentacles. On its Cephalopod limb page, Wikipedia states that "All cephalopods possess flexible limbs extending from their heads and surrounding their beaks. These appendages, which function as muscular hydrostats, have been variously termed arms, legs or tentacles."

(A muscular hydrostat is any part of an animal that's used to manipulate items or to move its host about. The mammalian tongue is another example of a muscular hydrostat.)
